Slogan/Promotie
A massive 196 pages hardcover monument of art and new ideas. "This book will stimulate your mind and bring a new smile to your face." The second ultimate Dadara book is here: a beautifully crafted hardcover edition by KochxBos Designers & Publishers. This book is a record of art from the period 2018 to 2024, containing 196 pages of his latest and mind-blowing artwork. With an introduction by Merlijn Twaalfhoven. Dadara initially made his mark with groundbreaking designs for the international dance scene in the Nineties, and it didn't take long for him to be embraced by the high-brow art world as an artist to be reckoned with. Since then, his career has spanned three decades of creative excitement and adventure, making it one of the coolest underground art journeys imaginable... In this second book, the focus is on developments such as the birth of A.I., guerrilla projects during the Covid-19 period, deeper investigations into the start of NFTs, further digitalization of the world, and much more. Dadara's views on the world are vivid, breathtaking, funny, and fresh.
Biografie
Dadara's artistic development is a fascinating journey, originating in Amsterdam's house culture in the early nineties. Flyers, record covers, and crying baby speakers marked the start of an impressive career as a designer, cartoonist, and painter. After the turn of the century, Dadara focused more and more on extravagant installations and performances and was also the first ever international artist to build a big project at Burning Man in the USA. The last couple of years he has again concentrated more on his drawing and painting work, in addition to various guerrilla art actions around the world, such as covering the iconic 'I Amsterdam' sign with huge banners and fences as a comment on gentrification.
