A Shadow’s Cry is a poetry picture book about meeting your inner monsters and learning to accept yourself. It is about finding the courage to stay when all you want to do is run, and discovering that the darkest parts of ourselves are not our enemies, but something to listen to, understand and dance with. Even in the darkness, there is beauty.

Biografie

Britt van Leur (2002) is a creative writer and graduated fashion designer. She has been writing since the age of fourteen, using words to express her inner world and emotions through fiction and poetry. Her struggles with mental health and her journey toward acceptance have been a source of inspiration in her work. She writes for anyone who struggles to feel seen, heard, or understood and believes that even in darkness there is beauty.
