Tekst achterflap

Tino was diagnosed with Tourette's syndrome at the age of 15 after a tragic event occurred in his life. He has always struggled to find his place in the world, and after discovering a horrible plan his family devised, he follows his uncle's advice, landing on the cold streets of New York City at a young age. It does not take long before Tino runs out of money and lacks the cash for cheap hotels. He meets a group of vagrants he grows to admire. Their different opinions ultimately shape his philosophy of life. Eventually, Tino sets up his tent on a hill overlooking a car scrapyard. Just when he thinks he has temporarily escaped the society that rejects him and seems to want to turn him into the very man he strongly refuses to become, an odd, suited man appears at his tent, proposing a deal. Feeling accepted by the man because of his caring manner, Tino accepts his offer and joins him on what appears to be a moral quest: to rebuild the abandoned town the offeror's mother used to live in, in exchange for a roof over Tino's head. Along with a group of misfits, Tino works to renovate the town. However, over time, he begins to feel like something is off about the dubious atmosphere.
